About

Ethan didn't start in product. He spent his early career as a UI designer — sweating over pixel grids, type hierarchies, and the small interaction details most people never consciously notice but always feel. That obsessive attention to detail became the foundation for everything that came after.

Over the past 8 years, he's led SaaS products from the ground up, shaping them from messy early concepts into tools people rely on day to day. In the last 3 years, he moved deeper into AI products — navigating the gap between what the technology can do and what users actually need it to do.

Off the clock, he's the kind of person who reads the changelog for fun, has strong opinions about onboarding flows, and will happily lose an afternoon stress-testing a new tool just to find the exact moment it falls apart. He moves fast, says what he thinks, and has very little patience for products that waste people's time — but he's just as quick to get genuinely excited when something is built with real care.

This crossover — a designer's eye, a PM's judgment, and a restless curiosity that never quite switches off — is what shapes how he writes.

How he reviews

When Ethan reviews an AI tool, he isn't just listing features. He asks the questions a designer and a PM ask instinctively:

01

Does this respect the user's time?

02

Is the interaction intuitive, or just impressive?

03

Where does the experience quietly break down?

04

Is the aesthetic serving the user, or serving the demo?

What you'll find in his writing

Hands-on reviews of AI software across the market — productivity tools, creative assistants, agents, and everything in between. His reviews lean on two things competitors often skip: a sharp sense of design and usability, and a practitioner's understanding of what makes a product genuinely useful versus merely flashy.

Expect honest takes, real-world testing, and an eye for the details that separate a tool you'll keep using from one you'll abandon after a week.
